Honoring Tom Lavallee
The Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation is pleased to be honoring Tom Lavallee, Board Chair of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association and Chief Operating Officer of Alliance Health Management Services at its 2026 Annual Foundation Breakfast.
With more than three decades of experience in long term care, Tom began his career at Broad Reach Healthcare, where he worked as a social worker and admissions director. From those early experiences to his leadership of multi-facility operations, Tom has dedicated his career to advancing quality care, building strong organizations, and supporting the people who serve older adults.
Today, Tom continues to serve the sector as a respected healthcare leader and advocate. We are proud to recognize his many contributions and lasting impact on long term care.

Foundation Scholarship Program
The Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation’s flagship Scholarship Program assists long term care staff in meeting their personal and professional goals through furthering their education.
$3 Million+in scholarships awarded

Since 1985, the Foundation has awarded nearly $3 million dollars in scholarships to more than 1,600 deserving long term care staff, known as “Foundation Scholars.”
The annual program, funded through the generosity of long term care providers and related organizations, supports the Foundation's mission to promote the development of a skilled and committed workforce.
2026 Scholarship Cycle
In 2026, the Foundation received 78 applications from 57 applicant facilities. The final list of scholarship recipients will be finalized in Fall 2026.
