The Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization established in 1985 to improve the quality of long term care services for the state’s older adults and people with disabilities through education, research and quality improvement programs.
Founded by leaders of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, the Foundation’s central focus during the past decade has been to improve the quality of resident care through a scholarship program designed to build the skills of our long term care work force and support professional growth in the field of long term care. The scholarship program is part of a comprehensive, state-wide strategy to build and sustain a high quality work force to care for the growing aging population of Massachusetts.
Mission
The mission of the Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation is to promote innovative tools, services, programs and research related to clinical and workforce quality across the continuum of care for older adults and people with disabilities.
Through partnerships with professional, government and academic organizations the Foundation provides leadership to the health care community in the form of scholarships, education, quality improvement programs and consumer-focused resources.
